These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website located at stateofnp.org and any events, programs, or services offered by State of the Nonprofit Community, Inc. ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.

1. Use of the Website

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You may not:

  • Use the site in any way that violates applicable federal, state, or local laws or regulations
  • Transmit any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising or promotional material
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site or its related systems
  • Reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, or exploit any portion of the site without our express written permission
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity

2. Event Registration and Payments

Registration for the State of the Nonprofit Community Summit and other events is subject to the following:

  • Payment: All registration fees are processed through PayPal. By completing registration, you agree to PayPal's terms of service. We do not store your payment information.
  • Refunds: Refund requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected] at least 14 days before the event date. Registrations cancelled within 14 days of the event are non-refundable but may be transferred to another attendee.
  • Event Changes: We reserve the right to modify event dates, locations, speakers, or format. In the event of a cancellation by us, registered attendees will receive a full refund.
  • Virtual Attendance: Virtual access links will be sent to the email address provided at registration. We are not responsible for technical issues on the attendee's end.

3. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, images, and event materials — is the property of State of the Nonprofit Community, Inc. or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on this site without our prior written consent.

4. Third-Party Links and Services

Our website contains links to third-party websites and services including PayPal, Zeffy, and Typeform. These links are provided for your convenience only. We have no control over the content of those sites and accept no responsibility for them or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them. Use of any third-party site is governed by that site's own terms and privacy policy.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

This website and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, State of the Nonprofit Community, Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of — or inability to use — this website or our events, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim.

7. Photography and Recording

By attending a State of the Nonprofit Community event (in person or virtually), you grant us permission to photograph, record, and use your likeness and voice in promotional materials, social media, and future marketing without compensation. If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please notify us in writing before the event at [email protected].

8. Code of Conduct

All attendees, speakers, and guests are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully. We reserve the right to remove any participant from an event — without refund — for behavior that is disruptive, harassing, discriminatory, or otherwise inconsistent with our community values.

9. Donations

Donations to State of the Nonprofit Community, Inc. are voluntary and non-refundable unless required by law. We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Please consult your tax advisor. A copy of our financial information is available upon request.

10. Florida Charitable Solicitation Disclosure

State of the Nonprofit Community, Inc. is registered as a charitable organization with the State of Florida (Registration #CH43381). 11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Florida.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the website after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
